Original message, Monday: “The practice session will take place on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the reading room. Please bring your short script and a pencil. Reply to the group organiser if you cannot attend.”
Updated message, Tuesday morning: “The practice session has moved from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The day and room are unchanged. Please use this updated message when you write the notice. If you have already shared the earlier time, send the correction to the same readers.”
Nisa saw two posts with the old time. Both had copied Monday’s message. She did not treat them as two independent confirmations. She compared the dates and asked the organiser which message was current. Then she wrote a short correction: “Our earlier notice gave the old time. The current model schedule says 3:30 p.m.” The texts in this exercise are fictional. They are not invitations to an actual event.
