A borrowing system helps people share useful items. In this classroom model, each item has a code. A card that shows the code is kept in a small box. The card also has a borrowing date and a return-status space. These details help the next user check what is available.
Before an item is borrowed, the code is compared with the record. When it is returned, its condition is checked. A missing or damaged item is reported to the supervisor. The record is then updated. A clear record can reduce confusion, but a completed box on a form does not prove that every step was done correctly.
The model does not collect home addresses or private health information. It is designed to practise clear descriptions and responsible record keeping. A real system would need the supervisor’s agreement and a test with its users. The class has not introduced it as an official rule.

Change the focus
“The team checks the cards” focuses on the team. “The cards are checked by the team” focuses on the cards. Bentuk pasif menggunakan be dan past participle. Untuk present simple: am/is/are + participle. Perhatikan bentuk checked, written, made, dan kept; tidak semua participle berakhiran-ed.
Choose be carefully
“Each card is checked.” Each card tunggal. “The cards are checked.” Cards jamak. Negative: “The cards are not stored outside.” Question: “Are the cards checked every day?” By menyebut pelaku jika penting; pelaku dapat tidak disebut ketika sudah jelas. Dalam laporan pertanggungjawaban, jangan memakai pasif untuk menyembunyikan siapa yang seharusnya bertindak.
A short process
“A code is written on each card. The cards are kept in a dry box. The box is checked before use.” Ini proses model untuk membaca, bukan perintah menulis pada buku koleksi tanpa izin. Tentukan apakah paragraf bertujuan menjelaskan proses atau memberi tugas kepada orang tertentu.
